PIONEERS STAFF
In the summer of 2009, the University of Denver hired one of the best lacrosse coaches of all time in COACH BILL TIERNEY. His resume from the past three decades speaks for itself. Coach T is committed to bringing out the absolute best from all of his players and teams, each and every year. The next chapter in DU lacrosse starts now, and the administration is excited to have Coach T leading the charge.Coach Tierney quickly hired his two assistants shortly after his hiring. His defensive coordinator and goalie coach is his son, TREVOR TIERNEY. Trevor brings years of experience from playing at Princeton, on the US World Team, and in the MLL. Trevor is one of the most decorated goalies of all time.
Coach T also kept MATT BROWN on staff as offensive coordinator. Matt had been coaching at DU for the previous two seasons, had played at DU as a collegiate player and still currently plays for the Denver Outlaws where he is a star attackman in the MLL.
This staff has a tremendous amount of experience in both coaching and playing lacrosse at the absolute highest levels. They are looking forward to demanding the best out of DU lacrosse program. They are also excited to enhance the game in Colorado and the western US at the youth and high school levels.
