HOW DO YOU PICK THE FALL TEAMS?
The two fall high school DENVER ELITE teams are picked from our six SUNDAY SESSIONS in September and October. We understand that you may have conflicts, but it is highly encouraged for players to be at all tryouts and practices for the team. The only way that we can make this an elite level experience, is if the players involved treat it like one and take it seriously. If you play football or another fall sport and would still like to tryout for this team, please just email Matt Brown at mtbrown@du.edu to make arrangements.
WHAT TOURNAMENT DO YOU TAKE THE TEAMS TO?
We will have two teams that will go back to the University of Rutgers in New Jersey to compete in the MVP Team Tournament Nov 20th and 21st. We are going to take a 2012 team and a 2013 / 2014 team. We may also put together a 2011 "Uncommitted" team together for any players who have not picked a college to attend. The teams will have six practices together.
WHAT ARE THE OTHER DETAILS?
GRADES : 9th through 12th
TRYOUTS : SUNDAY SESSIONS serve as the tryouts
PRACTICES : 6 practices in October and November / TIMES TBA
TOURNAMENT : November 20th - 21st
TRAVEL : Travel to and from the tournament along with accommodations is up to each player and family. We will have a team parent that will help organize group rates for flights and hotels.
COST : $575 per player / Cost includes tournament fee, field times, reversible, shorts and coaching / Cost does not include transportation
REGISTRATION : We will send out a registration link to all the players who made the team
WHO MADE THE TEAM?
We would like to congratulate the following players for making our two Denver Elite HS teams. Teams will be broken up into BLUE and SILVER teams by the end of the first week of practice. The BLUE team will consist of mostly 11th and 12th grade HS players with a couple of younger players. The SILVER team will consist of mostly 9th and 10th grade players with a couple of older players. We reserve the right to put any player on either team.
