DENVER PIONEERS WINTER LACROSSE PROGRAM

UNIVERSITY OF DENVER PIONEERS SHOOTING / GOALIE INDOOR CLINICS | 2010
POWERED BY TIERNEY LACROSSE

The University of Denver lacrosse program is planning winter clinics for the 2010 and 2011 winter season. These clinics focus on positional skills and drills to prepare players for their upcoming spring season. The clinics are directed and overseen by legendary head coach Bill Tierney. Counselors include assistant coaches Trevor Tierney and Matt Brown, along with DU players.

These indoor clinics are an awesome opportunity for players to keep working on their skills in the cold of winter and make sure that they are not getting rusty for the upcoming spring season. We will concentrate on position specific skills for shooters and goalies. Goalies will work with former All-American and MLL All-Star, Trevor Tierney and other DU goalies. Tierney will take the goalies through winter workouts that he used to do in college. Shooters will learn secrets and tips from Denver Outlaws star attackman and DU assistant, Matt Brown. This is an awesome holiday gift for the up and coming lacrosse star!

UNIVERSITY OF DENVER PIONEERS WINTER INDOOR LEAGUE | 2010
POWERED BY TIERNEY LACROSSE

The Pioneers are offering a Winter Indoor league for players in 5th through 8th grade. This is another great way for kids to hone their skills in preparation for their season. The indoor league is a great way for younger players to get tuned up for the regular season. We play these games in smaller versions of indoor hockey rinks with plastic flooring, which is perfect for the winter. The glass around the rink keeps the ball in play and youth players get the chance to work on their stick skills in a little bit tighter quarters than they are used to. Playing indoor lacrosse is one of the reasons that young Canadian players have such great stickwork and now we are bringing that same opportunity to improve for our young Colorado players!

DENVER ELITE JUNIOR TEAM : From this league, we are going to pick four DENVER ELITE JUNIOR teams (Novice, PeeWee, Bantam, Midget) which will travel to the July 1st Canada Day Tournament in Calgary, Alberta. These teams will consist of the best players from both session of our winter indoor league. For more information on these teams, click HERE.
