UNIVERSITY OF DENVER PIONEERS LACROSSE WE ARE DENVER. WE WILL BE ONE.

PIONEERS LACROSSE CAMPS

POWERED BY TIERNEY LACROSSE
All the DU camps are planned, coordinated, overseen and approved by Coach Bill Tierney. Coach Tierney has been coaching lacrosse for over 30 years and has run hundreds of camps over the course of that time. He has coached hundreds of All-Americans throughout his years and he knows what it takes to help a lacrosse player reach his full potential. Tierney Lacrosse powers the DU Lacrosse camps to help young lacrosse players build a solid foundation and give them the tools to become successful in high school and college. If you have a question about any of our camps, clinics or elite teams, please go to our FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS page first. Thank you!

THE MISSION OF TIERNEY LACROSSE
Tierney Lacrosse was co-founded by Bill Tierney and Trevor Tierney in 2009. The mission of Tierney Lacrosse is to provide youth lacrosse players with the best learning experience possible. Our goal is to help every player whom we work with in our camps, clinics, leagues and tournaments improve substantially at the game of lacrosse. Most importantly though, we hope to use lacrosse as a means to teach valuable life lessons to the boys and young men that we are privileged enough to work with. We wish for all our players to be the best that they can possibly be, on the field and off.

DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAM AND CALENDAR | THE OFF-SEASON TRAINING GROUNDS FOR COLORADO LACROSSE.
We are establishing a year-round system for youth and high school lacrosse players. For a lot of lacrosse players all over the country, they have to pick and choose between various camps, clinics and teams throughout the course of the year. Many times, they end up learning the same things over and over again and really do not develop fully as players. We have set up opportunities so that lacrosse players may play on their club and high school teams during the spring and in the off-season, work with us. We know that once you begin to learn how to play lacrosse from our amazing staff, you will not need to turn anywhere else. Below is the calendar that we recommend for intermediate and elite level players to develop their skills and talent to their full potential. We also recommend that every youth and high school lacrosse player plays another team sport or two throughout the course of the year to fully develop himself athletically. We are the off-season training grounds for Colorado youth and high school boys lacrosse. Our first year programming has been a huge success with parents, players and coaches.

FALL | If you are a sixth through twelfth grader, participate in SUNDAY FALLBALL SESSIONS. These sessions are also tryouts for our fall DENVER ELITE TEAMS for middle school and high school players. If player makes team, then he participates in the chosen fallball tournament that we take that age group to.

WINTER | If you are a eighth through twelfth grader, then take part in our specialized POSITIONAL CLINICS to develop the necessary techniques to be the best that you can be at your chosen position. If you are a fifth through seventh grader, participate in our WINTER INDOOR LEAGUE. Box lacrosse is a great way for young players to develop their individual skills. From this league, we will be choosing a DENVER ELITE YOUTH BOX TEAM that will travel to Calgary in the summer to play in one of the biggest indoor youth tournaments in the world! We will also have tryouts for our DENVER ELITE HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER TEAM and DENVER ELITE YOUTH SUMMER TEAM in December or January.

SPRING | Play on your youth club or high school team and have one of your best seasons ever, thanks to all the hard work that you have been doing in the off-season with us!

SUMMER | If you are a high school elite level player, then you can play on our DENVER ELITE HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER TEAM which travels to a couple summer recruiting tournaments (please note that tryouts for these teams is in February). If you are a youth through high school, beginner through advanced player, then you can come to our OVERNIGHT CAMP to learn from some of the top coaches and players in the world!

THE BEST INSTRUCTIONAL AND TEAM CAMPS IN COLORADO
The University of Denver lacrosse program is planning to have a number of different camps and clinics throughout the fall and winter of 2009 through the summer of 2010 and beyond. These camps will all be directed, planned and overseen by Hall of Fame Head Coach Bill Tierney, who has directed and run camps on the east coast for the past three decades. Now players out west can have the same instruction and well-planned camp format as players see at all the eastern university camps. Coaches running the camps will include former All-American and MLL All-Star and DU Assistant Coach, Trevor Tierney as well as Denver Outlaw and DU Assistant Coach, Matt Brown. Counselors will include professional and collegiate players from all over the country.

TEACHING GOALS AND OBEJECTIVES
These camps and clinics will revolve around developing youth and high school lacrosse players in their quest to play lacrosse at the college level. There will be a number of different types of camps to choose from, including positional clinics, overnight camps, day camps, and team camps.
